Rev. Dr. Yvonne Delk

The Rev. Dr. Yvonne Delk (ANTS MRE ’63) will offer the Simpson-Hewett Lecture on Congregational History at Spring Glen Church in Hamden, CT. The Rev. Dr. Delk will be presenting on her new edited volume: Afro-Christian Convention | The Fifth Stream of the United Church of Christ. She will focus on the idea of “Truth and Truth-telling in the nation and church at a time of Afrophobia and the Critical Race Theory.” click here

Andover Newton will host Alumni/ae Convocation, which begins with worship led by Dean Sarah B. Drummond and music with Mark Miller. The Rev. Dr. Yvonne Delk will be honored with the “Spirit of the Hill” award. Mark Heim invites alums to attend his class on Theology and Medicine, and Gregory Mobley will lead a workshop on his latest book. Ned Allyn Parker (ANTS MDiv ’10) will offer the Bauer Broholm lecture titled, “Storytelling: Enlivening Faith and Leadership through Connection.” The workshop will focus on using storytelling in leadership and innovation to build community in the church and the workplace.
